The collective story for our times is being written by brave, diverse, activist fiction and nonfiction storytellers who passionately give voice to people’s reverence and wisdom about nature.
Stormbird Press: defending nature and empowering communities through the power of story. Our authors are from across the world, but most of Stormbird Press’ Australian work happens on the Pacific Ocean-facing lands of the Gureng Nation and a Southern Ocean-facing island directly connected to three Nations, each with their own spiritual relationship through songlines—the Ngarrindjeri, Narungga, and Kaurna Nations. We acknowledge the true owners of these eternal places—lands and seas that were never ceded, sold, or given up. We pay respect to First Nations Elders and Leaders across the world—past, present, and future—and stand in solidarity with all First Nations peoples.
